A teenager from the Kushoniyon (formerly Bokhtar) district in the Khatlon province has been arrested on suspicion of killing his fellow-villager, according to the Interior Ministry’s official website.
The incident reportedly took place in the evening of June 17. A 17-year-old resident of the S. Istiglol jamoat hit his 20-year-old fellow-villager with a reaping-hook following quarrel. The fellow-villager died on the spot.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained teenager under the provisions of Article 110 (4) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code — intentional infliction of serious harm to health resulting in death; an investigation is under way.
