Ex-director of the State Entrepreneurship Support Fund appointed to head the newly established bank

Date:

By government’s decree, Hokimsho Bobozoda, who had previously served as Director of the State Entrepreneurship Support Fund, has been appointed to head the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Sanoatsodirotbonk (Industry & Export Bank), a newly established bank in the country.

The new bank that has been established on the basis of the State Entrepreneurship Support Fund to finance entrepreneurs’ projects is expected to begin operating soon.

Recall, by government’s decree the State Entrepreneurship Support Fund under the Government of Tajikistan has been reorganized to the SUE Sanoatsodirotbonk.

The State Entrepreneurship Support Fund was established in 2014 to support the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services.

In a statement delivered at a meeting with entrepreneurs and investors in Dushanbe, President Emomali Rahmon noted on October 14, 2014 that the State Entrepreneurship Support Fund’s budget will be replenished with 1 billion somoni within the next seven years.

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) will provide for a certain amount to increase Sanoatsodirotbonk’ authorized capital.

Currently, 18 commercial banks operate in Tajikistan, and only one of them is a state-run bank – Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank).
