Tajikistan reduced the supply of electricity to neighboring countries by almost 40%

The export of Tajik electricity in January-August of this year was carried out in the amount of just over $ 46.4 million, reports the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It is noted that the supply of electricity to neighboring countries decreased by 39.3% compared to the same period in 2019.

In January-August last year, Tajikistan exported electricity to Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in the amount of $ 76.5 million.

Electricity production in Tajikistan for eight months of this year decreased by 5.6%: from 14.2 billion kWh in January-August 2019 to 13.5 billion kWh in the same period of this year.
