On September 16, as part of a working trip to the cities and districts of the Sughd region, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon in Khujand launched the new sewing workshop of «Nassochii Khujand» LLC.
In general, the Company has 7 workshops, including spinning, weaving, dyeing and processing of threads and fabrics, production of various clothes.
There, on the territory of the workshop, he visited an exhibition of products manufactured by this workshop: school uniforms, medical gowns, protective masks, sterile fabrics and clothing for surgical operations and an exhibition of folk crafts, where the works of masters of Khujand, Buston, Guliston and Bobojon Ghafurov district were presented.
Then Emomali Rahmon on Ismoili Somoni Avenue of the city of Khujand opened a multi-storey residential building for employees of the State Committee for National Security Administration in the Sughd region.
The residential building consists of 9 floors and has 32 spacious apartments. On the ground floor there is a Health Center, in the basement there is a laboratory for biochemical analyzes.
All apartments have all the conditions for living. The building is also connected to the central heating network.
On Ismoili Somoni Avenue in Khujand, the head of state also took part in the opening of the “Somon-Plaza” international trade center.
The object was created with the support of the domestic entrepreneur Mukimjon Huseynov. The building consists of 9 floors, it has conditions for the work of domestic and foreign companies.
Thre also presented the Strategy for Economic Development of the Sughd Region for 2020-2030, he got acquainted with the results of the work of scientists and young entrepreneurs in the field of information technologies.
Further, in Khujand Emomali Rahmon opened an additional building of the State Institution "Center for Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery named after Amonullo Orifov".
The new building of the medical institution consists of a basement and 4 floors, it has 200 beds.
A 4-storey building, worth 6 million somoni, is equipped with modern medical equipment, including X-ray machines, artificial respiration apparatus. There are departments for myocardial infarction, arterial hypertension, vascular surgery, congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease.
Then the head of state went to Bobojon Gafurov district of the region and visited the house-museum of Nozimjon Usmonov in the Yova village jamoat.
The house-museum was founded in 2014 on the initiative of Nozimjon Usmonov, it contains more than 1,500 different frescoes and historical artifacts. Historical frescoes, ancient household items have been preserved from the 17-18 centuries.

In the village of Mekhrobod Jabbor Rasulov district, Emomali Rahmon laid the foundation stone and started construction work at the glass and glassware production company “Sughd Quartz” OJSC.
The enterprise will be established through domestic and foreign investments. For the production of products, mainly quartz sand, limestone and dolomite will be used, which are completely mined in the country's deposits.
