Presidents of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan Emomali Rahmon and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed issues related to cargo transportation and the use of Turkmen seaports for the transit of Tajik cargo.
The meeting with the leader of Turkmenistan, who was in Dushanbe to participate in the SCO summit as an honored guest, was held on September 17.
The parties also discussed the current situation and prospects for cooperation between the two countries in other areas. These are, in particular, issues of development and expansion of relations in promising areas of industry, agriculture.
Emomali Rahmon stressed that the agreements reached during the bilateral negotiations will further strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between the countries.
