The heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) at the anniversary summit adopted a three-year Program of Cooperation in the fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism. This was announced to reporters by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon following the results of the joint meeting of the heads of state of the SCO and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which took place in Dushanbe, TASS reports.

"During the summit, considerable attention was paid to strengthening regional security and countering challenges and threats in the SCO space. We approved a program of cooperation in countering terrorism, separatism and extremism for the next three years", – said Emomali Rahmon.

He noted that during the meeting, the problem of drug trafficking also occupied an important place and a work plan was adopted for the implementation of the SCO anti-drug strategy.

"Taking into account the severity of this problem, I again noted the urgency of creating the SCO Anti-Drug Center in Dushanbe ", – stressed the head of Tajikistan.
