Another child in Dushanbe removed from family and sent to boarding school

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that the parents did not pay adequate attention to the child.

A minor identified as Sh.J. has been placed in a special educational institution by an order issued by  a court in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district due to what authorities described as the parents’ irresponsible attitude toward the child’s upbringing and education.

According to the Dushanbe Police Department, materials concerning the teenager’s parents were prepared by officers from the Juvenile Affairs Division of Police Station No. 1 in Firdavsi district.

Law enforcement authorities stated that the parents failed to provide proper care and attention to the child’s upbringing and development and also hindered his access to full education.

Following the court order, the minor was sent to Boarding School No. 1 for orphans and children without parental care in Dushanbe.

The police urged parents not to neglect their responsibilities regarding the upbringing and education of their children.

Previously, authorities in Tajikistan have repeatedly reported cases in which children were removed from families due to neglect, lack of supervision, or failure to ensure school attendance.
