The prosecutor asked for 9 years in prison for Izzat Amon

On September 27, the state prosecutor asked the court to sentence Izzat Amon, head of the Center for Tajiks in Moscow and one of the defenders of the rights of labor migrants in Russia, to 9 years in prison. Saidburkhon Sharipov, Izzat Amon's lawyer said.

He said that the prosecutor's request was based on the fact that they could not find the last victim and pay him compensation.

Izzat Amon, head of the Center for Tajiks in Moscow, was stripped of Russian citizenship and deported from Russia on March 25

According to the authorities, he was arrested on the basis of allegations from several persons on fraud charges.
