Rahmon shakes up regional administrators

President Emomali Rahmon yesterday introduced a number of staff changes, according to the Tajik president’s official website.  

By president’s decree Odinasho Mardzoda, formerly head of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) Education Directorate, was appointed chairman of Vanj district in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region, replacing Jabbor Qosim.

Jabbor Qosim was relieved of his post of chairman of Vanj district in connection with transfer to other job.

As am Shamirzoda was appointed to head GBAO’s Roshtqala district replacing, replacing Loiq Nazarshozoda.

Loiq Nazarshozoda, was relieved of his post in connection with transfer to other job.

Bakhtiyor Safarzoda, formerly deputy head of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Khojagii Manziliyu Kommunali,  was appointed chairman of Baljuvon district tin Khatlon province, replacing Sherali Jalilzoda.

Sherali Jalilzoda was relieved of his post of chairman of Baljuvon district in connection with transfer to other job. 

Sherali Hasanzoda was appointed to head Temurmalik district in Khatlon province , replacing Faizullo Foteh.    

Faizullo Foteh was relieved of his post of chairman of Temurmalik district in connection with transfer to other job.  

Zarif Naziri, who had previously served as deputy governor of Sughd province, was appointed chairman of Farkhor district in Khatlon province. 

Ms. Bunafsha Faiziddinzoda, formerly deputy chairperson of Danghara district in Khatlon province, was appointed mayor of the city of Levakant in Khatlon province, replacing Ms. Zarina Davlatzoda.  

Jamshed Sharifzoda, formerly deputy head of Danghara district, was appointed chairman of Vose district in Khatlon province, replacing Sharbatullo Azizullo.

Davron Nishonzoda, who had previously served as head of Nosiri Khusrav district in Khatlon province, was appointed chairman of Dusti district, replacing Nourmuhammad Saidzoda, who was retired for age reasons.

Mahmadayub Sharifzode, formerly head of the organization of the ruling People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan (PDPT) in Khatlon’s Qubodiyon district was appointed to head Nosiri Khusrav district.

As it was reported yesterday, Balhtiyor Nazarzoda, who had previously served as head of the Khatlon Main Finance Directorate, was appointed mayor of Kulob, replacing Abduqodir Valizoda. 

Azam Alizoda was chairman of Mastchoh district in Sughd province, replacing Tohir Azizzoda, who died on September 14, 2021.  

Besides, Emomali Rahmon proposed to Majlis Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) to relieve Eraj Shirinzoda of his post of judge at Tajikistan High Economic Court.
