Russian air carrier launches flights on a new air route from Russia to Tajikistan

Date:

Russian air carrier, Nordwind Airlines, has launched flights on a new air route from Russia to Tajikistan.

Beginning on December 15, Nordwind Airlines will operate the flight Yekaterinburg-Bokhtar-Yekaterinburg using Boeing 737-800, says the press center of Yekaterinburg International Airport Koltsovo.  It will be once-weekly service on Wednesdays.

Currently, three flights are operated from the Koltsovo Airport to Tajikistan: Dushanbe; Khujand; and Kulob.

Currently, a ticket for the flight from Yekaterinburg to Bokhtar costs 15,000 Russian Rubles, and a ticket for flight from Bokhtar to Yekaterinburg costs 12,494 Russian Rubles.  ”The introduction of the rate is connected with a seasonal decrease in passenger traffic from Yekaterinburg to Bokhtar and seasonal increase in passenger traffic from Bokhtar to Yekaterinburg.

Nordwind Airlines, LLC is a Russian leisure airline. The company is headquartered in Moscow, and its hub is at Sheremetyevo International Airport.  Nordwind Airlines primarily operates service between airports in Russia and holiday destinations around the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean.

Founded in August 2008 by the Russian and Turkish branches of tour operator Pegas Touristik, Nordwind initially operated three Boeing 757-200s

As of April 2020, Nordwind Airlines fleet has reportedly comprised the following aircraft: 10 Airbus A321-200s; 2 Airbus A32s; 3 Airbus A330-200s; 4 Airbus A330-300s; 12 Boeing 737-800s; 6 Boeing 777-200ERs; and 3 Boeing 777-300ERs
