Authorities of Uzbekistan’s Ferghana region have decided to financially stimulate them in order to introduce them to a healthy lifestyle.
Residents of Ferghana region may receive 500,000 soums (equivalent to US$46.00) each for each kilogram of weight they lose, Fergana news agency reports, citing UzA.
Ferghana governor Khairullo Bozorov reportedly remarked this on December 20 while addressing a session of the regional legislature (Kengash).
The Ferghana regional administration press center has clarified that the monetary reward will be received only by citizens who have lost at least five kilograms in a year.
