Rahmon continues shaking up officials

President Emomali Rahmon, who is also the Head of the Government, is continuing to shake up officials.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, Qosim Rahbar, formerly Chairperson of the Local Community Development Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, was appointed acting Mayor of Hisor.

Sharifjon Jumazoda, formerly Mayor of Hisor, was appointed to head the Local Community Development Committee under the Government of Tajikistan. 

Mirzo Ismoilzoda, who had previously headed Barqi Tojik (Tajikistan’s power utility company), was appointed acting Mayor of Vahdat, replacing Rahmonali Amirzoda.   

Mahmadumar Asozoda, formerly First Deputy Head of Barqi Tojik, was appointed to head the company.

Abdullo Qurbonzoda was appointed Deputy Head of Barqi Tojik.

Ms. Mavjouda Kholiqzoda was relieved of her post of Deputy Head of Barqi Tojik for age reasons.  

Usmon Davlatzoda was appointed Director-General of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Khojagii Manziliyu Kommunali (KMK – the state holding company for public utilities), replacing Jamshed Tabarzoda, who was appointed First Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe.

Amirkhon Qurbonzoda, who had previously served as First Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe, was appointed Deputy Governor of Khatlon Province.

Jourakhon Ghafforzoda was appointed First Deputy Head of the SUE Khojagii Manziliyu Kommunali, replacing Saifiddin Rahimzoda.

Sunnatullo Saidzoda, who had previously served as Deputy Head of the Supply Directorate at President’s executive Office, was appointed acting Mayor of Roghun, replacing Muzaffar Sulaimonzoda.

Khairiddin Usmonzoda, member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) representing the Party of Economic Reforms, was appointed to head the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan, replacing Khurshed Ziyo, who was relieved of his post in connection with transfer to other job.  

Tajikistan Ambassador to Russia Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda was concurrently appointed Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan at the Statutory and other Bodies of the CIS. 

Sohibnazar Ghairatsho was relieved of his posts of Tajikistan Ambassador to Germany and Tajikistan Ambassador to Poland (with residence in Berlin) in connection with transfer to other job.    

Imomuddin Sattorov was appointed Tajikistan Ambassador to Germany.  

Jamshed Sattorzoda was relieved of his post of Director of the Domestic Infrastructure Development Implementation Project Unit. 

Mirhayot Yoqubzoda was relieved of his post of Deputy Head of the National Bank of Tajikistan.
