Last year, emergency situations left 42 dead in Tajikistan, says Tajik top emergency official

Last year, emergency situations left 42 dead in Tajikistan, which was 38 people more than in 2020, Rustam Nazarzoda, the chief of the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, told reporters in Dushanbe on February 9.

According to him, 359 emergency situations were registered in the country last year, which was 146 cases more than in 2020.

Damage caused by 52 emergency situations registered in Tajikistan last year has been estimated at 141.984 million somonis, which was 2.4 times more than damage by caused by the emergency situations in 2020, Nazarzoda added.
