20 Taliban fighters killed by NRF forces in Panjshir province

Hasht-e Subh Daily reported on May 22 that the National Resistance Front (NRF) claims of killing 20 Taliban fighters in an ambush in Panjshir province.

Ali Meysam Nazari, head of foreign relations for the National Resistance Front, reportedly noted that the Taliban fighters were trying to attack the Front’s military base in the Hesarak area of Rukha district, but they were ambushed by Resistance forces instead.

However, local sources have reported that the Taliban launched attacks on the Resistance Front military bases in the Hesarak area of Rukha district Sunday morning from several directions, according to Hasht-e Subh Daily.

The attacks reportedly inflicted casualties on both sides, but the exact number is not yet reported.
