Twelve tractors, 100 plows and 427 tons of fish feeds have been delivered to Tajikistan from Iran over the first three months of this year.  This is not much, but this is the beginning of a new round of cooperation between agrarians of the two countries.  

The Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan (MoA) will collaborate with Iran in the fields of construction of logistics centers, intensive gardening, stock-raising, plant cultivations, agricultural exports, protection of plants from diseases and pests, and construction of a refrigerated warehouse for agricultural products, an official source within a MoA told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, this issue was discussed at a meeting of the Minister of Agriculture Saadi Karimzoda with Iran’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Mohammad Taghi Saberi that took place here on May 20. 

It is to be noted that 427 tons of fish feeds were delivered to Tajikistan during the last year.
