According to the investigation, Mahfirat Kodirova, a 52-year-old resident of the Kulkand rural jamoat, and her son Nematjon Valiev ordered a killer to kill two relatives for $5,000 – Kodirova's brother-in-law Abdusalom Valiev and his wife Munira Madaminova who lived with them in the same house.
«Also, a 35-year-old resident of Khujand, with whose husband Kodirova had a love relationship, was supposed to die at the hands of the killer. Kodirova's husband is serving a sentence in a colony », – Sharifi said.
According to him, mother and son “ordered” relatives because of a dispute over the house that was inherited by the Valiev brothers from their parents.
According to Abdusalom Valiev, Kodirova demanded that he and his wife move out and leave the house to her.

Immediately after the mother and son were detained, a criminal case was opened against them on charges of attempted murder of three people. Under this article, they face 15 to 25 years in prison or life imprisonment.
