Four persons were killed and two others injured on January 22 as a car crashed into a tree in Hamadoni district, Khatlon province.

The Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan says the accident took place in the area between the village of Guliston and the administrative center of the district.

The 26-year-old resident of Moskva settlement apparently failed to control his Hyundai and crashed into a tree on the side of the road, Ms. Umeda Yusufi, a spokeswoman for the Emergencies Committee, said.

As a result of the collision, the driver and three his passengers died on the spot, while two other passengers sustained various injuries and were taken to the Hamadoni central district hospital.
