Russian freight transportation company looking to hire Tajikistanis

Tajikistan’s Consul General in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg Zafar Sayyidzoda has held talks with Igor Kolganov, the director of one of departments Russian freight transport company, KIT, to discuss issues related to employing citizens of Tajikistan. 

An official source within Tajikistan’s Consulate-General in Yekaterinburg says the parties have agreed to engage an official representative of Tajikistan\s Ministry of Employment, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan (MoLMEP), Mr. Behrouz Kholiqov, in a joint work and coordination of cooperation.

Meanwhile, the head of the KIT Personnel Department, Ms. Olga Vasilyeva, noted that KIT is a federal transportation company engaged in transportation of cargo through the territories of Russia and near abroad countries.  

According to her, the company has 257 regional representative offices and more than 300 warehouses.

She says the company The company is looking for storekeepers, movers, delivery drivers and forklift drivers.

“To-date, citizens of Tajikistan have worked for our company in various cities of Russia, including Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Izhevsk, Murmansk, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Kazan and Ivanovo at an average monthly wage of at least 45,000 Russian rubles,” Ms. Vasilyeva said

KIT is a company that has provided transportation and logistics services since 2008.  It reportedly offers high quality services for the transportation of groupage cargo and parcels in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Uzbekistan.

The company offers a wide range of services, from collection of cargo to its delivery to the destination.  KIT is also ready to provide an individual approach to each client, taking into account all his/her wishes and requirements.

In addition, the company reportedly offers favorable rates for the transportation of goods, which makes its services affordable for people and businesses.    

Outgoing labor migration from Tajikistan has started on a large scale soon after the fall of the Soviet Union.  An absolute majority of the Tajik labor migrants have lived and worked in the Russian Federation.  As a social phenomenon this migration has a profound impact not only on the lives of the individual migrants or the families who are being supported by a family member working abroad, but also on the Tajik society as a whole and the country’s economy.
