President Rahmon receives credentials of ten newly appointed ambassadors

On Friday March 15, ten newly appointed ambassadors presented their credentials to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

The new ambassadors reportedly include Mr. Rajesh Uki of the Republic of India,   Mr. Mohammad Munirul Islam of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Niko Schemers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Viktor Boretski of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr. Navikas Egidijus of the Republic of Slovakia, Mr. George Panamtundil of the Vatican, Mr. Augusto da Silva Cunha of the Republic of Angola, Mr. Andre Akambi Okunlola-Biau of the Republic of Benin, Mr. Mohamed Yongavo of the Republic of Sierra Leone, and Mr. Hector Isidro Arenas Neira of the Republic of Colombia.             

Tajik president reportedly congratulated the ambassadors on their appointment and expressed confidence that they would make contribution to expansion of cooperation of their countries with Tajikistan.

The Tajik president’s official website says it was assured that the fruitful activity of the ambassadors will be an effective factor in the development and strengthening of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between the countries.  

Tajik leader reportedly expressed his views on strengthening friendly relations and multifaceted beneficial cooperation of Tajikistan with the Republic of India, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Slovakia, Vatican, the Republic of Angola, the Republic of Benin, the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Republic of Colombia.

Rahmon mentioned that during the years of independence, Tajikistan have constantly strived to expand the range of its partners and friends in the international arena.  In this context, the Government of Tajikistan reportedly establishes and maintains active and constructive relations with the international community in various political, economic, commercial, cultural, humanitarian, and security areas.

President Emomali Rahmon also commented on the unprecedented height of tension in different parts of the world and emphasized that in such sensitive conditions, solidarity, good understanding and effective inter-state cooperation become of double importance as key factors of the stability of the international community.

It was highlighted that in this context, Tajikistan considers the continuation of partnership with the countries of the newly appointed ambassadors as an integral part of its foreign policy and highly evaluates its prospects, the Tajik president’s official website added.
