President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has conducted personal reshuffles in state institutions.

The Tajik president’s official website says Emomali Rahmon on January 4 carried out personnel reshuffles in several state agencies.

By president’s decree, Sodiq Imomi was appointed as Tajikistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkiye, replacing Ashraf Gulov, who had been reassigned as Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in August of last year.

Prior to this appointment, Imomi had served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In another decree, the president appointed Parviz Mirzozoda, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Egypt, as the country's Ambassador to South Africa concurrently.

Zarif Mirdado and Davron Zohidzoda were relieved of their positions as deputy chairmen of the Sughd province due to transfer to other jobs.

Faizullo Qosimi, Jamshed Jourazoda, and Zufar Ismoilzoda were appointed as deputy chairmen of the Sughd province.

New chairpersons for the cities of Konibodom, Buston, Guliston, and the districts of Shahriston, Ayni, and Zafarobod in the Sughd province were appointed from among young qualified specialists.

Additionally, the president dismissed Mirzo Odinzoda from his position as judge of the court in Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district for “conduct unbecoming of a judge, tarnishing the honor and dignity of the judiciary.”

On the same day, Emomali Rahmon met with the newly appointed officials, urging them to work selflessly, serve the state and the people of Tajikistan, and defend national interests on the global stage, according to the president’s press service.

He called on them to comprehensively support entrepreneurship, promote the expansion of domestic production and agricultural processing, enhance the country's export potential, create more jobs, and build roads, communication infrastructure, and medical and educational facilities.

"In conclusion, the president emphasized that in dealing with people, it is essential to maintain high standards of communication and exemplary behavior," the Tajik president’s official website noted.
