The internal tourism season begins in Tajikistan: journalists and bloggers set out in search of treasures

Date:

The internal tourism season has kicked off in Tajikistan.  Journalists and bloggers were the first to embark on 10 routes, covering the country's cultural, tourist, and historical landmarks.

The official opening ceremony took place on April 26 at Istiqlol Square in Dushanbe.  The event was organized by the Committee for the Development of Tourism with the support of the country's government.

Representatives of the media and bloggers participated: they are tasked with sharing the tourist gems of Tajikistan.

According to Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Tourism, the initiative is aimed at fulfilling the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon.  It reportedly contributes to the popularization of domestic tourism, strengthening patriotism, familiarizing people more widely with the country's rich historical and cultural heritage, and attracting the attention of foreign tourists.

"A deeper understanding of Tajikistan's historical and cultural heritage strengthens pride in our rich history among citizens," Jumakhonzoda emphasized.

Development of domestic Tourism

Organizers expect that this initiative will give a new boost to the development of internal tourism in Tajikistan and create favorable conditions for attracting foreign visitors.

Experts note that in combination with other government programs, the development of domestic tourism will allow a wider audience of travelers to experience Tajikistan's rich nature, culture, and history.
