The internal tourism season has kicked off in Tajikistan.  Journalists and bloggers were the first to embark on 10 routes, covering the country's cultural, tourist, and historical landmarks.

The official opening ceremony took place on April 26 at Istiqlol Square in Dushanbe.  The event was organized by the Committee for the Development of Tourism with the support of the country's government.

Representatives of the media and bloggers participated: they are tasked with sharing the tourist gems of Tajikistan.

According to Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Tourism, the initiative is aimed at fulfilling the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon.  It reportedly contributes to the popularization of domestic tourism, strengthening patriotism, familiarizing people more widely with the country's rich historical and cultural heritage, and attracting the attention of foreign tourists.
