Tajik women scientists have earned 10 medals at the 2025 International Korean Women Inventors Exposition (KIWIE). The participants from Tajikistan brought home five gold, two silver, and three bronze medals.
The gold medals were awarded to:
- Ganjina Navrouzoda for her method of treating chronic respiratory diseases.
- Rukhshona Aloviddinzoda for her method of producing a plant protection agent against fungal diseases and mites.
- Munifiza Burhoni for her method of radiation therapy for patients with skin cancer and COVID-19.
- Gulandom Karimzade for her method of reinnervation of a transplanted inguinal flap in cases of traumatic hand defects.
- Safiya Saifiyeva for her method of bone plastic surgery for the lower jaw.
In addition to the gold medals, Ganjina Navrouzoda received a special award from the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA), and Rukhshona Aloviddinzoda was specially recognized by the Korean Intellectual Property Institute.
The silver medals were awarded to:
- Fariza Halimova for her method of diagnosing endogenous intoxication.
- Zumrad Ghaibullaeva for her method of producing metallic hydrides.
Fariza Halimova also received a special award from the First Institute of Researchers and Inventors of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FIRI) for her work on diagnosing endogenous intoxication.
The three bronze medals went to:
- Chamanoro Shoziyoyeva for her aromatic candle.
- Zarina Madaliyeva for her school jacket design.
- Zilola Mavlanova for her method of regulating training loads for athletes.

The 18th International Korean Women Inventors Exhibition (KIWIE 2025) was held from May 22 to 24 in Goyang, South Korea. It showcased 445 innovative inventions by women from 16 countries. Ten inventors from Tajikistan participated in the exhibition, with three presenting their works in person and seven presenting remotely.
The award ceremony for the winners and finalists was held recently at the National Patent and Information Center (NPIC) of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
According to NPIC, since 2012, Tajik women and girls have won 79 medals at KIWIE, including 31 gold, 27 silver, and 21 bronze medals.
The Korea International Women's Invention Exposition (KIWIE) is a significant global event celebrating and fostering innovation by women inventors. It is organized by the Korea Women Inventors Association (KWIA) in collaboration with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), and supported by the International Federation of Inventor's Associations (IFIA). KIWIE provides a platform for women inventors to showcase their inventions, exchange knowledge, and establish global networks.
