Ahead of Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated in Tajikistan on June 6, the Dushanbe City Hall has announced designated areas for livestock slaughter in each district of the capital.

According to the Dushanbe City Hall, in the Shohmansour district, livestock may be slaughtered in the Badakhshan-2 neighborhood on Shukuhi Street, 44. Additional designated areas include the Khovaron neighborhood (Zone 7), the Chinoro-1 neighborhood on Nazarshoyev Street, 374, the Khovaron market (Ayni Street, 259, 7 km), and the neighborhoods of Falakon, Qushteppa, Yakkatut, and Chilmehrab.

In the Firdavsi district, slaughter is allowed on Qahhorov Street near the "Shiri Saodat" factory, in the Gulbutta neighborhood, as well as in neighborhood unit 63 (Firdausi Street, 99), 65 (Firdausi Street, 35), 46 (Dehoti Street, 3), and the Krupsky neighborhood unit.

In the Sino district, approved slaughter sites include the Pakhtakor neighborhood (Pakhtakor Street, 70), Borbad (Turgenev Street, 29), Rohi Nav (Rahmon-Nabiyev Street, 292/2), Hayoti Nav (houses 74 and 313), Dehai Bolo (200), Kamongaron (Huvaydulloyev Street, 252), Hisorak, Panjroud (125), Navobodi Bolo (79), Hamadoni, Dehi Bolo (222), Ispechak 1 (near the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe), Shodob (153), and Luchobi Bolo (82).

In the Ismoili Somoni district, slaughter is permitted in the Kh. Nazarov neighborhood 149 (Sabokh Street), the Shafaq neighborhood (Khuchambiye Poin Street, 121), Nodira (Nodira Street, 52), Varzob Hydroelectric Station (Dehnavaki Poyon Street), and the Chashmasor neighborhood (I. Soatov Street, 36).

It is worth noting that between 2007 and 2017, the slaughter of livestock in Dushanbe was prohibited. Only in 2017, following the appointment of Rustam Emomali as the new mayor, was the slaughter allowed again, but only in specifically designated areas during Eid al-Adha.
