DUSHANBE, May 11, Asia-Plus – Officers from the customs control at the Dushanbe airport have stopped an attempt of smuggling nearly two kilograms of heroin into Russia.
According to press service of the Tajik Customs Service, an inspection of passengers on the Dushanbe-Chelyabinsk (Russia) Thursday evening found 10 packages containing 1.966 kilograms of heroin hidden between sides and lining of a suitcase belonging to a 43-year-old resident of Dushanbe Mulloyor Davlatyor.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted on drug trafficking charges and an investigation is under way.
