DUSHANBE, December 7, 2012, 2012, Asia-Plus — On Thursday November 6, President Emomali Rahmon attended groundbreaking ceremonies for construction of a number of new facilities in the Hisor district, the president’s official website reports. These facilities are expected to be finished by 2015.
A new 20,000 seat stadium with indoor swimming complex and tennis court, presidential lyceum to accommodate 640 pupils with two dormitories and two nine-story residential buildings for teachers, new school, palace of culture, district museum, amusement park and national choikhonas (teahouses) will be constructed in Hisor.
While in Hisor, the president also visited the site for construction of a large metallurgical plant. The first line of this plant is scheduled to be introduced into operation in May 2013.
Emomali Rahmon also got acquainted with the process of implementation of the project for rehabilitation of the Dushanbe-Tursunzoda highway, the source said.
