KULOB, January 21, 2013, Asia-Plus  — Beg Zuhurov, head of the Communications Service under the Government of Tajikistan, has denied rumors that he is going to run for president as absolutely baseless.

Zuhurov, who is currently in Kulob to inspect the construction of a new palace of sports here, said, “I have no presidential ambitions and my intentions are aimed at fulfilling my duties properly.”

We will recall that the country’s presidential election is set for November this year.
