DUSHANBE, January 28, 2013, Asia-Plus  — Police officers reportedly seized nearly 2.9 kilograms of hashish in two separate operations carried out in Dushanbe and Sughd province on January 27.

According to the Interior Ministry’s official website, more than 1.6 kilograms of hashish were found in apartment of Shaftolu Sabzaliyev in Dushanbe.

On the same day, three residents of the Bobjoonghafurov district in Sughd province – Majid Karimov, 55, Bibizinat Jalolova, 49, and Hasan Sobirov, 40 – were detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing.  More than 1.2 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from them.
