DUSHANBE, February 1, 2013, Asia-Plus — A large amount of heroin has been seized by police at the Dushanbe airport.
According to the Interior Ministry’s official website, a special operation carried out by police officers at the Dushanbe airport on January 31 led to the seizure of some two kilograms of heroin. The heroin was confiscated from Dushanbe resident Komil Azizov.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug peddler and an investigation is under way, the source said.
