DUSHANBE, March 27, 2013, Asia-Plus – The awards ceremony for the winners the competition “The Best Commodities of Tajikistan of 2012” will take place in Dushanbe on March 30.  This is the second competition that is organized for domestic producers held by the limited liability company, Oila.

According to Oila, “The Best Commodities of Tajikistan of 2012” competition started on October 1, 2012 and ended on March 20, 2013.

Organized under support of the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), the competition was held in three nominations: 1) testing of products by visitors of supermarkets in Dushanbe and Khujand; 2) sampling carried out by specialists; and 3) by results of coupons posted in newspapers.

The main objective of this contest was reportedly in supporting domestic producers, boosting quality and popularity of domestic products, and increasing recognizability of the brand in domestic and international markets.

Meanwhile, a three-day exhibition of domestic food products will kick off at the Kokhi Borbad State Complex in Dushanbe tomorrow.  More than 30 domestic companies will put on display their products at the fair that is being held on the sidelines of the “The Best Commodities of Tajikistan of 2012” contest.
