DUSHANBE, September 25, 2008, Asia-Plus — The 3rd media forum of young journalists of Eurasia, formally titled “Dialogue of Cultures,” will be held in St. Petersburg from November 6-7.
The forum is organized by Eurasia Media-Center in cooperation with the Russian State Hermitage Museum under support of Russia’s Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, UNESCO, International Confederation of Journalists’ Unions and International Academy of TV and Radio.
According to Eurasia Media-Center, the forum is expected to bring together more than 150 young journalists from Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, and post-Soviet states to discuss approaches of media communities from different countries to policy of tolerant co-existence of cultures and religions.
Internationally known experts will tell them about the present state of national cultures and use of media for establishment of dialogue, overcoming confrontation between different cultures and civilizations.
The Dialogue of Cultures forum is dedicated to show commonality of origin and mutual influences of different national cultures and world religions on each other, continuity of them.
