DUSHANBE, August 15, 2013, Asia-Plus – On Thursday August 15, outgoing Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Yuri Popov conferred here with President Emomali Rahmon at the end of his tenure to Tajikistan.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the sides discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
We will recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Igor Laykin-Frolov Russia’s Ambassador to Tajikistan on August 2, 2013.
Igor Lyakin-Frolov had previously served as Russia’s Representative to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
