DUSHANBE, September 16, 2008, Asia-Plus – A five-day seminar on energy loss reduction issues was launched at head office of Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) power holding in Dushanbe on September 15.  

The seminar participants include representatives for energy sales and control departments of the company. 

According to Nozir Yodgori, a spokesman for Barqi Tojik, the main objective of the seminar is in training the company’s relevant specialists in methods of reduction of electrical power losses during the distribution of electricity from producer to consumers.  

Russian expert Andrey Artemyev acts as trainer in the seminar, which is conducted within the framework of the USAID-supported project to support the development of energy markets in Central Asia’s states, the spokesman said.
