DUSHANBE, September 12, 2013, Asia-Plus – Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Business Council was held in Bishkek with the heads of SCO commerce and industry chambers.

Tajik Chamber of Commerce press office reports that Sharif Said, Chair of the Tajik national section of the SCO Business Council and the Head of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Tajikistan, was elected as the Chair of SCO Business Council.

According to the published information, Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Commerce and Industry Chamber, and Yu Pin, Chair of the Chinese national section of the SCO Business Council, were elected deputies to the Chair.

The report states: “A number of current cooperation issues between SCO member-states were also discussed during the meeting. SCO Business Council business forum entitled ‘SCO Cooperation Perspectives: Opening New Markets’ was held in the frame of the meeting.”
