KHOROG, September 15, 2008, Asia-Plus — The number of cardiovascular diseases is increasing in GBAO’s Murgab district.
A special regional medical expert commission headed by the GBAO health official Khubonsho Shomrizoyev has worked in the district for ten days. According to Shomirzoyev, medical workers have examined residents of the villages of Rangkul and Tokhtamysh as well as the administrative center of the district over the report period.
“Of 218 examined people, only 10 have been found healthy, while others have various cardiovascular diseases,” said Shomirzoyev, “Examination has shown that major cardiovascular diseases in the Murgab district have been caused by unfinished treatment of rheumatism.”
