DUSHANBE, September 5, 2008, Asia-Plus – A five-member group of Iranian Persian language professors arrived in Tajikistan on September 3 to participate at a conference dedicated to the 1,150 birthday anniversary of founder of Tajik-Persian classical literature Abu Abdullo Roudaki, Iran’s news agency IRAN reported.
The event which is sponsored by Iran”s Cultural Attaché in Tajikistan is held on September 5-6. The conference is focusing on topics including Roudaki”s character and era, as well as comparative and contrasting analyses of Roudaki”s works.
Concurrent with the event, similar commemoration ceremonies will be held in Iran and Afghanistan.
