DUSHANBE, October 28, 2013, Asia-Plus — On Sunday October 27, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon visited the Vose district as part of his working tour of the Kulob region in Khatlon province, according to the Tajik president’s website.
While in Vose, the president participated in a ceremony of opening of a private salt-producing enterprise, Khoja Mumin.
Rahmon reportedly pointed to the necessity of iodizing salt and called on local salt producer to raise quality of their products.
The head of state also attended a simultaneous wedding ceremony for 20 couples in the administrative center of Vose. Rahmon also handed over presents to 87 orphaned children.
