DUSHANBE, September 3, 2008, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan has the lowest rate of growth in production of industrial goods among the CIS states, according to the CIS Interstate Committee for Statistics.
In Tajikistan, the industrial production growth rate for January-July stood at -3.3 percent.
The highest industrial production growth rate has been reported in Azerbaijan (14.4 percent), which is followed by Uzbekistan (12.2 percent).
In Kazakhstan, the industrial production growth rate for report period stood at 3.3 percent, and the industrial production growth of Kyrgyzstan for the same seven-month period stood at 5.8 percent.
The CIS average industrial production growth rate for January-July stood at 6 percent.
