 KHUJAND, September 3, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Recipients for the Kamol Khujandi and Bobojon Ghafurov Awards 2008 have been selected in northern Tajikistan. 

Laureates of the Kamol Khujandi Award are selected for their significant contributions in the area culture and the Bobojon Ghafurov Award is given for significant contributions in the field of science.    

 According to the information analysis department within the Sughd regional administration, the following persons have been selected as recipients for the Kamol Khujandi Award: stage director Orif Nabiyev, writer Mubinjon Yusupov, and sculptor Davron Rahmatov.  

Local researchers Rustam Yuldoshev, Habibullo Taotov, Maqsoudjon Umarov, Naimjon Raupov and Kamoliddin Qoziyev have been selected as laureates of the Bobojon Ghafurov Award.  

The awards will be handed over together with the certificates within the next few days.
