DUSHANBE, January 8, 2014, Asia-Plus — By government’s decision names of the state-run companies Zarya Vostoka, Vostokredmet and Tajiktsement have been translated into Tajik, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT).

Zarya Vostoka (Eastern Dawn) is now officially called Nouri Khovar, Vostokredmet (The Eastern Rare Metals Complex) – Metallhoi Nodiri Sharq, and Tajiktsement (Tajik Cement) – Cementi Tojik.

Besides, by government’s decree Zaynullo Sohibov was appointed to head Cementi Tojik (Dushanbe cement plant), replacing Mahmadsaid Zubaydov.

According some Tajik media sources, Zaynullo Sohibov, is a brother of Shamsulo Sohibov, who is a son-in-law of President Emomali Rahmon.

After being closed for ten months, the Dushanbe cement plant was reopened on October 2, 2013.  It has become possible due to installation of the first coal-fired rotary kiln at the plant.

The coal-fired rotary kiln has been installed by Beijing Uni-Construction Group Co., Ltd and specialists from this China’s company are currently installing the second coal-fired rotary kiln at the Dushanbe cement plant

The Dushanbe cement plant has four large rotary kilns with capacity of 600 tons cement per day each and two small rotary kilns with capacity of 300 tons each.

The Dushanbe cement plant with rated capacity of 1.1 million tons was not in operation for ten months due to lack of natural gas.
