DUSHANBE, May 4, 2014, Asia-Plus – More than six cooperation agreements are expected to be signed during an official two-day visit of Turkmen president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Tajikistan that will start on May 5.

On the same day, Turkmen leader will hold talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon that will be followed by negotiations in enlarged format that will result in signing of a number of cooperation agreements.

While in Dushanbe, Turkmen president will also hold talks with Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda and speaker of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament Shukurjon Zuhurov.

According to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, a two-way trade between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan last year amounted to 119.3 million U.S. dollars.
