DUSHANBE, July 30, 2008, Asia-Plus — At that moment, President Emomali Rahmon is discussing with visiting Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyuk bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
After a meeting with President Rahmon, Serdyuk will hold talks with his Tajik counterpart, Colonel-General Sherali Khairulloyev.
Military and military-technical cooperation between the two countries as well as training of military personnel for the Tajik armed forces at Russia’s military schools are major topic of the talks.
During his stay in Dushanbe, the Russian minister will also visit headquarters of the Russian military base in Tajikistan.
