An exhibition of contemporary Tajik artists “The Beauty of Tajikistan: Heritage for the Future” has opened at the National Library of Belarus in Minsk. It takes place as part of the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in the Republic of Belarus.

The exhibition features 38 paintings — works by both recognized masters and young authors. Visitors were presented with paintings and graphics, still lifes, and landscapes inspired by the nature, culture, and daily life of Tajikistan.

The creative delegation of Tajikistan is headed by the Minister of Culture Matlubakhon Sattoriyon. At the opening, she emphasized the importance of cultural cooperation between the two countries.

According to her, the development of cultural ties is supported by the friendly policies of the Presidents of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, which contribute to the expansion of interaction not only in culture but also in other areas.

The Minister noted that the art of Tajikistan reflects the connection between the past and the future, traditions and modernity, and the presented works convey love for the native land and respect for national roots.

The Minister of Culture of Belarus, Marat Markov, called the exhibition the first event within the framework of the Days of Culture of Tajikistan and expressed hope for the continuation of joint projects.

He noted that the countries are united by common values and historical memory, including the participation of Tajiks in the liberation of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

According to him, such exhibitions help to better understand each other’s culture and contribute to strengthening friendship between the peoples.

Artist Eraj Olimov conducted a tour of the exhibition and stated that the key criterion for selecting works was to convey the nature, culture, and identity of Tajikistan.

He noted that the national art school is characterized by a combination of academic heritage and modern trends, while the works retain the national spirit and connection with the homeland.

The events of the Days of Culture will continue with film screenings at the “Pobeda” Cinema. Viewers will be presented with films “Life is Beautiful,” “In Search of Truth,” and “Path of Wrath” in Tajik with Russian subtitles.

On April 28, a gala concert of Tajikistan’s art masters is scheduled with the participation of the State Symphony Orchestra. The program includes folk melodies and world hits.
