DUSHANBE, July 18, 2014, Asia-Plus – On Friday July 18, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon sent a cable of condolences to Malaysia’s Prime Minister Dato” Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak over Malaysian airline crash that left 298 dead, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
In his message, President Rahmon also asked to convey his deepest condolences to families and relatives of those who were killed in the crash.
On the same day, President Rahmon sent a cable of condolences to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands over the deaths of a large number of Dutch nationals in the Malaysian airline crash.
The Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 with 298 people on board on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed near the village of Hrabove about 40 kilometers from the border with Russia on July 17.
A breakdown of passenger nationalities has shown that 154 Dutch nationals, 43 Malaysians and 28 Australians were on board the flight.
World leaders reportedly demanded an international investigation into the Malaysian airline crash, in which all 298 people on board were killed. CNN reports that the United States has concluded a missile shot down the plane, but hasn”t pinpointed who was responsible.
