DUSHANBE, July 21, 2014, Asia-Plus — The boards of the interior ministers of Tajikistan and Russia are expected to hold the next joint meeting in Tajikistan next month.

An official source at the Tajik Interior Ministry says the next joint meeting of Tajik and Russian interior ministers’ boards, co-chaired by Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Kolokoltsev, will take place in Khujand, the capital of the Tajik northern province of Sughd from August 10-12.

The meeting participants will discuss issues related to cooperation between the interior ministries of the two countries in combating international terrorism and extremism, transnational crime and drug trafficking.

The previous joint meeting of the boards of the interior ministers of Tajikistan and Russia took place in Moscow last August.
