DUSHANBE, August, 6, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda has met here with Mr. Li Zhenjiang, Executive Vice-President of Agricultural bank of China (ABC), the Prime Minister Secretariat reports.

The sides discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and China in the field of agriculture.

Rasoulzoda and Li, in particular, touched upon issues of supporting farming units, raising the level of crop yield, and increase in export of Tajik farm produce and dried fruits to China, the source said.

The sides also declared for expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan’s Agroinvestbonk and Agricultural Bank of China.

Founded in1951, Agricultural Bank of China Limited (ABC), with headquarters in Dongcheng District, Beijing, is one of the “Big Four” banks in the People”s Republic of China.  ABC has branches throughout mainland China, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, New York, Frankfurt, Sydney, Seoul, and Singapore.

ABC has 320 million retail customers, 2.7 million corporate clients, and nearly 24,000 branches. It is China”s third largest lender by assets.  ABC went public in mid-2010, fetching the world”s biggest ever initial public offering (IPO).  In 2014, it ranks 3rd in Forbes’ 11th annual Global 2000 ranking of the biggest, most powerful and most valuable companies in the world.
