DUSHANBE, September 11, Asia-Plus — The Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan has accepted Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as its honorary foreign member.

Accompanied by Tajik Parliament Speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visited the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan yesterday evening.

The honorary membership was granted to President Rouhani and Iranian president also gave a lecture at the Tajik Academy of Sciences.

Iran’s IRNA reports that formerly the Chairman of the Iranian Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and the Head of the IRI Cultural Conservatory Reza Davari Aredkani had been granted the honorary membership of the Tajik Science Academy.
