DUSHANBE, January 9, 2015, Asia-Plus – Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s office in Khatlon have seized a large amount of hashish in the city of Kulob.

According to the DCA press center, a resident of Kulob was arrested on January 7 on suspicion of drug pushing and 50 bricks of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish were confiscated from him.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler under the provisions of Article 200 (2) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – drug trafficking; an investigation is under way.
