DUSHANBE, January 25, 2015, Asia-Plus – The government reviewed the results of the past year’s work and discussed the main tasks set for 2015 at a January 23 meeting, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the meeting participants included members of the government, heads of agencies and republican enterprises, chairpersons of the provinces, cities and districts, senior representatives of president’s executive office, as well as heads of higher educational institutions, banks, media outlets and project implementation units.

Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda, Finance Minister Abdusalom Qurbonov, Tax Committee head Nusratullo Davlatzoda, Customs Service head Rustam Emomali and the head of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions Safarali Najmiddinov delivered reports at the meeting.  

The ways of mitigating negative effects of external factors on Tajikistan’s economy, increasing domestic production of goods and the country’s export potential, creating new jobs increasing and rationally using budgetary funds were reportedly major topics of the reports.  

Besides, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Shavkat Bobozoda, Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonali Usmonzoda, Barqi Tojik Chairman Rustam Rahmatzoda, Pamir Energy Company Director General Daler Jumayev, OJSC Roghun NOB Director Khairullo Safarov and directors of the investment project implementation units reported on the results of the past year’s work, the source said.
