DUSHANBE, February 17, 2015, Asia-Plus – In January 2015, Tajikistan produced a total of 890 million somoni (equivalent to nearly 165 million USD) worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Compared to the same period of the last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 103.2 percent.

Of 1,156 industrial enterprises registered in the country, 562 enterprises were not in operation last month.

Of the 90 basic types of industrial products, the output of 41 (45.6 percent) increased in January, and the output of 32 items (35.5 percent) decreased last month.  Seventeen basic types of industrial products were not manufactured over the report period.
